The Tatacoa Desert is the second largest arid zone in Colombia, it is one of the most attractive natural scenery, occupying 330 square kilometers of ochre-colored land in the Cuzco sector and gray in the area of Los Hoyos.
This plan includes two of the most beautiful and interesting destinations in the department of Huila: the Tatacoa Desert and the San Agustin Archaeological Park.

DAY 1
- Transfer from Neiva Airport to Villavieja
- Arrival to the municipality
- Historical tour in the municipality, entrance to the paleontology museum.
- Boat ride on the Magdalena river
- Executive lunch
- Accommodation at the TATACO STAR hotel.
- Departure to visit a rugged landscape in the heart of the desert where we will find a guided hike along the rainbow trail. Cardon-Cusco, one of the most representative landscapes and geomorphology where we will appreciate the formations caused by water and wind and come into contact with the flora representative of this ecosystem that has special characteristics, visiting the cathedrals, the tower, the wishing tree and the labyrinths.
- Tour in the sector known as Los Hoyos (gray earth area where we will find figures in compacted sandstone as the valley of the ghosts).

GENERAL recommendations
You will be hiking in the desert, so you must be in good physical condition and have good resistance to high temperatures (average 30 degrees Celsius). The difficulty is moderate and the treks last between 1 and 4 hours. It is necessary to bring appropriate clothing for the desert (long-sleeved shirt and pants, preferably in waterproof and cool fibers, hat, comfortable walking shoes or half-boots), sunscreen for skin and lips, water bottle, camera, personal documents and plenty of hydrating beverages.
In San Agustín the weather is temperate, so bring cool clothes. However, it is advisable to bring a jacket, as it can be cold at times.

IF YOU ARE GOING TO CANCEL YOUR TRIP:
1. Cancellations must be made 5 days prior to the departure date and 90% of the reservation deposit will be refunded, apart from any deductions or penalties previously established by the suppliers, when the services are not used. This refund will be made within 30 calendar days from the date the claim is made. If the cancellation is not made 5 days in advance, the money will not be refunded.
2. If the client does not show up for the trip, no refund will be made.
3. In the event that the user of the tourist services, fails to use the agreed services, whatever the cause, the Agency may require at its option the payment of 20% of the total price or rate established or retain the deposit or advance previously received from the user.
4. In fortuitous cases (climatic changes, natural disasters, landslides, mishaps in air, land or river transportation) in which the trip has to be cancelled, Colombia Oculta will return 90% of the deposit of the reservation.
